Time flies. We rang in our 30th year in business in 2017. We wanted to celebrate—but not in the traditional sense. We didn’t want to throw a fancy party. We hoped to create something to show how much Baltimore means to us; to let each of you take a glimpse at what our passion projects are, beyond our work at the firm. So, if you take 30 seconds or 30 minutes, we implore you to read nearly 30 stories of how RMG’s attorneys and staff members give back to this community and help make it a better place. We are proud to be good corporate stewards, because “we get it”—Baltimore needs us, and we need Baltimore.

Why do you volunteer your time specifically with this organization? I started volunteering as a tutor for 6th grade students at the old school on Calvert Street in the former Loyola High School building in the late 1990s; there were no elevators with 4 floors to walk up, and no air conditioning.  I was a…

Why do you volunteer your time specifically with this organization? SBLC is devoted to helping people help themselves in the most important way: by giving them the opportunity to develop the education and degree that they need to better their lives.  I found the organization through Ricky Adams (another associate at the firm), who was…

Ben Rosenberg | Enoch Pratt Free Library

Why do you volunteer your time specifically with this organization? I think it is the most important educational institution in Baltimore.  It serves more people, for more varied purposes, than any other public or private educational institution in the city. Does this organization affect Baltimore as a whole? Every library has a preschool program where…

Bill Hallam | Maryland Special Olympics

I’ve always had a soft spot for people with disabilities.  They have not done anything to bring it on themselves. Generally, they really take it in stride with good spirits.  The firm sponsored the United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland fundraiser one year, I volunteered at the event, and that was my largest exposure to…

Why do you volunteer your time specifically with this organization? This organization is something close to my heart because of my passion for baseball and the historical connection to Baltimore.  I was a late bloomer falling in love with baseball—but I’m an extremist, so when I fell in love, I really committed.  Even my wedding…
